"LIVER SPOTS" AND "C" CELLS TOO - Or "age spots", as they are also called, dissolve easily with the continued daily application of Herbal Adj. on the spots. I had no idea to use this amazing product for this! Dr. Watkins says this about the "C" cells: "SKIN C'S - It must be observed, to be truly appreciated, how the daily and persistent application of Herbal Adj. externally to skin cancers, dries them up, causes them to fall off and leave healthy, pink skin in their place."

Pure Herbs made this formulation that we use constantly for so many things, but look at this application that I had no idea to use it for and that is....BROWN SPOTS AND VARIOUS GROWTHS and it sure it worth daily applications for these things! Besides cleansing the body and doing a good liver detox, another helpful thing to do is to apply herbs to these areas. Here is the info for Pure Herbs Herbal Adj. and if you like you can just go right to our site and find it on the link at the bottom of the article. Please write to me any experiences you may have, as I want to document stories! smile emoticon

Herbal Adjustment Pure Herbs Liquid Extract used Historically for Mental or physical shock to any part of the body, headaches, migraines, neck and shoulder pain, sore muscles, circulation, arthritis comfort, painful joints, sports injury, distortion of the spine.

Herbal Adjustment is is a quick acting dramatically effective procedure for relief of headaches, leg cramps, menstrual cramping, arthritic discomfort, sports injuries, back discomfort, neck and shoulder tension, heart attacks, strokes and internal bleeding. For relief of pain and cramping two liquids are applied to the skin, one is Peppermint Oil which is cool and the second is a combination of herbs known as Herbal Adjustment which is hot. The Peppermint oil is applied first and the Herbal Adjustment second. The procedure of using these two liquids together is called an "Herbal Adjustment". In some cases, as given here, Herbal Adjustment. is also taken internally and will be described individually. This procedure will not interfere with medication and will not make a person "groggy". Needles and injections are not used.

HEADACHES AND TENSION - For headaches, apply 1st Peppermint Oil, followed by Herbal Adjustment, from the tip of the tailbone, up the spine, and on to the neck and the back of the head, on the scalp, and on up to the top of the head. Make the application about the width of the person's hand. Next, apply the two liquids to the temples and forehead. Have the person lean the head back so as to avoid getting any of the liquids in the eyes. (Should an accident occur, flush thoroughly with water, remain calm and peace will return.) Also apply to any additional areas of the head which are hurting. Finally, apply in front of and behind the ears, down the neck on both sides and out to the shoulders. This complete application will have an effect on the entire nervous system of the body. The affects are quick and relief is swift. Repeat as needed. For additional help, if needed, put 40 to 80 drops of Herbal ADJ. in a cup of water and drink it down. Do not sip as it is hot and best to get it over with as soon as possible. If a mild headache is in progress, usually an application of the two liquids to the temples, forehead and back of the neck are all that is needed for headache relief.

CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS - The Herbal Adjustment liquids penetrate quickly into troubled areas. After application, Peppermint Oil first, followed by the Herbal Adjustment, the liquids at once relax the nerves and muscles, which then allows the bones to go back into their proper places and the circulation resumes its normal function. In this way oxygenation and relaxation of cramping muscle pain is alleviated. The Herbal Adjustment liquids may be applied several times in extreme conditions and then repeated as needed. Do not get into eyes, and wash hands after application. Application before a chiropractic adjustment makes for a very easy and quick adjustment. It will be noted the adjustment is faster and "sticks" (stays in place) far longer.

ARTHRITIC DISCOMFORTS - For arthritic discomforts the two liquids are applied to the area as needed.

CRAMPING AND MENSTRUAL CRAMPING - If cramping or menstrual cramping, apply the two liquids (Peppermint Oil, followed by Herbal Adjustment) directly to the offending area. If additional help is needed put 40 drops of the combination Herbal Adj. in a cup of water and drink it. (Herbal ADJ. will not stop a normal menstrual flow as it is a natural bleeding.) Repeat as necessary.

HEART ATTACKS, STROKES AND INTERNAL BLEEDING - To stop a heart attack, stroke or internal bleeding put 40 to 80 drops of the Herbal ADJ. in a cup of water and drink it. Also, apply to chest and neck or area(s) of bleeding. Repeat as needed. If stress is great and a heart attack is a real possibility while you are trying to repair the heart with other herbs such as Myrrh and Mullein, use Herbal Adj. to keep yourself alive during the process even if it takes months. Lives have been saved by doing this.

"LIVER SPOTS" - Or "age spots", as they are also called, dissolve easily with the continued daily application of Herbal Adj. on the spots. Please consider that in some way, the body is not functioning as it should or these "liver spots" or "waste dumps" of concentrated pigment, would not have appeared in the first place. If they do occur again, then think in terms of improving overall health as needed, such as digestion and bowel elimination, to start with. For suggestions consult the HISTORICAL USES OF HERBS in the front of this work. (Remember to follow the advice about not rubbing your eyes after application of Herbal Adj. or bringing Herbal Adj. into contact with private areas. If an accident, then follow the advice as given earlier in this topic.)

SKIN CANCERS - It must be observed, to be truly appreciated, how the daily and persistent application of Herbal Adj. externally to skin cancers, dries them up, causes them to fall off and leave healthy, pink skin in their place. This process can take as little as a matter of days or two weeks and, in some cases, up to six and nine months or more, but it does work. It is suspected that when Herbal Adj. takes so long to do its job, that it is working on a problem much deeper inside the body, of long standing, and you are working on something more than just skin deep. Never-the-less, praise the Creator, it does work. Persistence is the key here, no matter what, continue the application at least once per day and for more desperate conditions, three and four times per day until results. Before you heal anything you usually have to slow the condition down and then stabilize it. Then reversal can take place. But, in the meantime, you are not getting any worse and that is a kind of victory too. Many Practitioners also use Vitamin E Oil from capsule(s) on the area first and then apply Herbal Adj. on top of that. This reduces any possible irritation and assists in repairing the area more quickly, with the prevention of any possible scar tissue.

SPORTS INJURIES - For sports injuries such as sprains, twists, bumps, bruises, torn tendons, ligaments, etc., apply Arnica to the area to take the physical shock out of the nerves, then Peppermint Oil and then Herbal Adjustment to the area for relief of pain and to correct the circulation. Then, apply the repair formula OL' #11 (See: OLD #11) to start the repair process. This is done as soon after the injury as possible. Repeat every 3 to 4 hours as needed. However, it should not be thought that this procedure will not tackle chronic and old injuries with equal determination, because it will. The night procedure for sports injuries is to open capsules of 100 i.u. of Vitamin E (i.u.'s = International Units, meaning a system of measurement for the amount of a liquid vitamin) and apply the oil to the injured area. Then, soak a natural fiber cheese cloth or gauze with the repair formula OL'#11 and wrap the area with the cloth. The larger the wrap, the greater and quicker the affect. Wrap this then with plastic sandwich wrap, and an additional cloth wrap around this, to hold everything in place for the night. This procedure forms a thermal and moisture barrier, to drive the herbs into the area and pull poisons out, in a time-release action during the night. The herbs are driven into the body, congestion is broken up, swelling reduced and function restored. There is a two-way traffic flow here. Herbs are pushed into the body area and poisons are pulled up and sweated out of the body at the same time. The next morning remove the application and discard the herbal cloth as it is "spent" and contains poisons. Wash the area and allow to dry. Note: This process of applying an herbal tea or herbal extract to the body soaked in cloth is know as a fomentation (foh'-men-tay-shun). For the daytime, apply the herb Arnica, Peppermint Oil and Herbal ADJ. every 3-4 hours. Repeat this daytime and nighttime process until the area is repaired.

LOWER HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE - To lower dangerously high blood pressure, put 40 to 80 drops of Herbal Adj. and 40 to 80 drops of Golden Bough in a cup of water and drink it. Repeat as needed.

COMBINATION: Black Cohosh, Blue Vervain, Capsicum, Indian Tobacco, Siberian Ginseng.

DOSE: As given in the above work. Additionally, Herbal ADJ. can be given as part of a daily herb regimen, to "spark" an herbal program and get it to work, at the rate of 40 drops in a cup of water, 1 - 4 times per day.

NOTE: Just the Herbal ADJ. combination is put in water to make the drink. If a Peppermint tea is desired, only 1 - 2 drops of the oil to a cup of water makes a good tea.

CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIANS
When the area to be adjusted is too tense for the needed procedure, Peppermint Oil and Herbal ADJ. applied to the spine, neck and shoulders rapidly relaxes the areas. Then, minimal pressure is required to achieve remarkable results.

MASSAGE THERAPISTS
Peppermint Oil and Herbal ADJ. applied to tense areas of the spine, neck, shoulder and other areas (avoid eyes, under arm and private areas) produce a warming and relaxing effect which makes therapeutic massage a very rewarding experience.

GENERAL NOTE: If for some reason a person should have an allergic reaction to Peppermint Oil, (if there is one, it is usually confined to temporary redness of the skin) many practitioners enjoy the use of Oil of Cajeput in its place.

 T.-W.  - Thyroid

4/16/2015

Comments

I can share one thing with you from a time I spent in Mexico with my mother when she was battling cancer and I took her to the Gerson Clinic in 1978. It was there that I learned how important the thyroid gland was and it's need for iodine. In fact it was so key for all the cancer patients that they put iodine in raw juices every hour on the hour all day long! That was quite revelational to me.

Many have no clue how important it is to have an intake of clean seaweeds from unpolluted waters. I have been working with Pure Herbs in the USA for many years because they travel the world to find sources of herbs that are not toxic and polluted. That is why we daily take their source of either ACS or T.-W, as it is easy to take and comes in a 4 oz bottle. This month it is on sale and if you would like to learn more about the Thyroid and iodine, here is a great article I found about it. Here is the link to our most highly suggested supplement for seaweed intake and it is on sale this month, buy 3 and get one free, so stalk up: http://www.livingwellcenter.org/store/p310/T.-W.html

Here is a great article:

One in 10 women in this country have been diagnosed with thyroid problems. Some endocrinologists believe that one in four women have an underactive or overactive thyroid. One reason may be because our thyroid glands are twice as large as those in men, creating a greater need for iodine. When we're under stress, our thyroids become even larger and more active, causing us to need even more.

This recent epidemic of thyroid problems appears to be due to a decline in dietary iodine. In 1940, our typical American diet contained 500-800 micrograms of iodine. By 1995, that amount had dropped down to 135 micrograms. But insufficient iodine intake isn't the only reason for low iodine. Thyroid problems are also caused by two other factors: exposure to substances that interfere with iodine levels, and an increased exposure to harmful radioactive iodine.

But don't think that all iodine is the same. It's not. There are two forms: iodine 127 (safe, natural dietary iodine) and iodine 131 (a harmful radioactive by-product of nuclear energy). Your body absorbs and retains any kind of iodine, depositing most of it in your thyroid gland or breasts. If you're deficient in the safe form of iodine, you'll absorb more radioactive iodine 131. But if you have enough dietary iodine, you won't absorb as much of the radioactive kind. The good iodine blocks the harmful type. Seaweed provides the dietary iodine you need for better thyroid function, and protects you from the harmful effects of radioactive iodine.

All of us have been exposed to radioactive iodine. Since 1945, radioactive material has been released into the air from nuclear testing and nuclear power plants all over the world. The ordinary day-to-day operations of these nuclear plants put harmful radioactive iodine into our atmosphere. Since we can't avoid it, we need to block its absorption. This exposure to iodine 131 is very possibly the origin of the increased amount of thyroid disorders we're seeing today. The regular consumption of seaweed may restore your thyroid function.

But iodine insufficiency goes far beyond its effects on the thyroid gland. Some of the iodine in your body is concentrated in breast tissues. When radioactive iodine breaks down in your breasts, it can contribute to breast cancer. Dietary iodine blocks the absorption of this harmful iodine. Researchers are finding that women with extremely low iodine concentrations are at a higher risk for breast cancer. Conversely, getting sufficient iodine seems to protect against this disease.

There's a strong association between low dietary iodine and an increased risk for breast, endometrial, and ovarian cancer. Low iodine can increase the production of estrogens, and your lifetime exposure to estrogens increases your risk for all of these cancers.

Interfering with Iodine
Anything that contains chlorine, fluoride, and bromine, like water, whether it's used internally or externally, interferes with iodine molecules and causes your body to excrete the iodine it needs so badly. Chlorine is present in most city water supplies. Unless you de-chlorinate your water, you are being exposed to thyroid-lowering gases whenever you bathe, shower, or have a drink of water. You can quickly and easily remove chlorine in your shower with a number of products, such as the Rainshow'r showerhead and the bath with the Rainshow'r Crystal Ball.

If you have a hot tub, you probably use chlorine or bromine to keep it free from bacteria. Both affect your iodine levels. Bromine is also found in some pesticides – another reason to eat organic food whenever possible – as well as dough conditioners (bread products).

Aspirin, blood thinners, and steroids all increase iodine excretion and can result in iodine deficiency thyroid problems. If you're taking any of these medications, ask your doctor to evaluate you for low thyroid function (hypothyroidism).

Adding seaweed:
Seaweed is a food. This means you can eat as much as your body wants. Dr. Ryan Drum, a medical herbalist with a specialty in seaweeds, uses a variety of kinds to increase the body’s stores of iodine. For an underactive thyroid, he uses 5-10 grams of mixed brown and red seaweeds daily.

Brown seaweeds – higher in iodine – include all kelps, Fucus (said to be the best for underactive thyroids), Hijiki, and Sargassum. Red seaweeds include dulse, nori, Irish moss, and Gracillaria. Nori, used to make sushi, is easy to find in all Oriental markets and many health food stores. Some is toasted and packaged in small packets. It's delicious, but not particularly high in iodine. Most forms of kelp have 500-1500 ppm (parts per million) of iodine; nori has 15 ppm. Toasting doesn't affect seaweed's iodine content, so eat it in whatever form you like best, but don't depend only on nori to boost your iodine levels.

You can add powdered seaweed to your food; toast small pieces of seaweed for a tasty snack; or add larger pieces of a variety of seaweed to soups, grains, or vegetables.

Where to find seaweed
All types of seaweed are edible, but not all of them taste good and not all are safe to eat. Some come from polluted waters. Get them from reliable sources – directly from people who harvest them from the cleanest available waters, or from your local health food store.

Try various types of seaweed, either as a snack or added to foods during or after cooking. Toast some in the oven or in a dry frying pan to see if you prefer that taste. Seaweed should be an enjoyable addition to your diet, not an unpleasant experience. If you simply don't like its taste, you can get it powdered, in capsules.

Seaweed is a gift from the sea. It's also a gift to your thyroid and breasts.

Pure Herbs has a number of specials this month and one of them is an all time favorite for those that suffer from bladder infections and just need to do some house cleaning of the urinary track. Here it is: U.R.-W - (Cornsilk, Uva Ursi, Gravel Root, Buchu, Yarrow) Helps to maintain a healthy urinary tract and prostate and also supports healthy kidney and bladder function.* It is buy 3 of the 4 oz bottles and get one free. Write to me if your are interested.

UR.-W Pure Herbs Liquid Extract used Historically for Urinary, infections, stones, bedwetting. (Cornsilk, Uva Ursi, Gravel Root, Buchu, Yarrow).

UR.-W is an herbal combination developed for urinary tract problems of all kinds, corrects burning, reduces swelling of prostate and uterus, pinching, pressure, tightens urinary sphincter control to correct incontinence and dissolves stones of the kidneys and bladder. When using a kidney formula for dissolving accumulated waste or flushing out infections, it is a good idea to drink at least 6 glasses of a good spring water per day, or "Green Drink" can be taken at the rate of 1 cup full, every hour, while awake. Prepare a live green drink by blending 1 handful of any fresh, edible green leaves of lettuce (no iceberg head lettuce please) with 1 pint (1/2 liter) of water. Blend for one minute and filter through a paper coffee filter, if desired. Make fresh daily, and chill in the refrigerator to keep throughout the day. If going out, then take an insulated vacuum bottle along for hourly use. If urine flow has stopped, then liberally apply UR.-W directly to the kidney areas on the back which are under and above the last ribs. Apply several times until the urinary flow resumes. If a stubborn problem that requires more intensive work, then apply Vitamin E from 100 i.u. capsules (i.u. stands for International Unit and is a measure of liquid vitamins) to prevent irritation. Next, especially if there is pain, apply Herbal Adj. and Peppermint Oil or Oil of Cajeput directly to the skin. Then, soak a single layer of absorbent gauze or cheese cloth with UR.-W and lay this over the kidney area. Cover with plastic sandwich wrap and finally, wrap a cloth around the body to hold all in place. This procedure is known as a fomentation (fo'-men-tay-shun). Leave on overnight, each night, until well. This can be repeated for the daytime, if needed. Wash the area and allow to dry before putting on a new fomentation. Never reuse a fomentation as this time-release procedure not only drives the herbs into the affected area, it also pulls poisons out of the body in the reverse direction. Take internally, daily, to correct infections and prevent problems. For men and women it is very important to have a good bowel maintenance program, in conjunction with solving urinary problems, to guard against bowel wastes being reabsorbed and irritating the surrounding areas. (SEE: Cascara Sagrada, C.C.E.-W, Buckthorn) For women it is important to use the napkin instead of the tampon, as the tampon holds irritants internally that aggravate surrounding areas. If additional assistance is needed, then consider the use of Pipsissewa (or Blue Cohosh if not pregnant) in case venereal infections may be related to the suffering, at the rate of 40 drops, 3 times per day.

COMBINATION: Cornsilk, Uva Ursi, Gravel Root, Buchu, Yarrow.

DOSE: As a daily maintenance of the urinary tract, 30 to 40 drops per day. If an active problem, then 40 to 80 drops internally, after meals, or hourly while awake, in times of crisis and as given above.

WHAT TO DO FOR DRY HAIR WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE

"Coconut Oil Wins Again" should be the headline! It is quite an amazing oil with so many benefits it is hard to keep track of them all - from Alzheimers treatments to a hair conditioner. Yes...that is right...a hair conditioner. Here is the scoop...or should I say a few scoops...of this wonderful oil:

Uses for Coconut Oil
In alternative medicine, some proponents claim that Coconut Oil offers the following health benefits:
• supports thyroid function
• increases metabolism
• antiviral and antibacterial properties
• improved blood pressure
• improved cholesterol levels
• weight loss
• better diabetes control
• increased bone strength
• better digestion
• prevention of cancer
• hair and skin health
• prevention of heart disease
• stress reduction
• increased immunity

Coconut oil is, hands down, one of the most effective hair treatments for a very wide variety of hair issues. Many claim that coconut oil actually works better than any man-made treatments on the market, and because it's 100% natural it's free of silicone, alcohols, and other chemicals that can aggravate sensitive skin and hair. It works incredibly well for repairing damaged hair that has been over-processed, heat damaged, or is just naturally dry. Coconut oil is also anti-fungal in nature, making it a perfect natural anti-dandruff treatment, or as a preventative treatment for dandruff. It's a great regular hair treatment for maintaining very healthy hair and scalp when used as a part of your regular haircare routine (1-4 times per month).

Why Coconut Oil Works Better

Coconut oil can be found at a variety of drug stores, grocery stores, organic food stores, or health stores. Coconut oil works well to recondition dry and damaged hair because the molecular structure of coconut oil, unlike other oils or moisturizers that just sit on the hair, it is ideal for penetrating the hair shaft, getting past the cuticle, repairing and preventing damage from the inside out. Lauric acid, capric acid, and vitamin E (all present in coconut oil) help restructure hair, increase hair's strength by preventing protein loss, and vastly improve shine. People that regularly use a coconut oil treatment report increased body, shine, and manageability with less breakage, static, tangles, and split ends. Many also claim that hair sheds less and feels thicker after regular use.

How to Use Coconut Oil as a Deep Conditioning Treatment

Massage a couple of tablespoons of the coconut oil into your clean, damp hair and scalp (if your hair is thinner or gets greasy easily, you may choose to skip the scalp as the oil could weigh your hair down). You may need more for long hair. Use more oil where your hair is the driest and most damaged (typically on the ends) and less where your hair is healthiest (mid-shaft and scalp area). It's best to section your hair off and apply the coconut oil in manageable sections to be sure that every hair is coated properly. If your coconut oil is in a solid state, you will need to warm the oil gently to create a liquid. Allow the oil to sit on your hair for 20-30 minutes after application. People with very dry or porous hair may choose to leave it on longer and some people like to use it as an overnight treatment. To increase the effectiveness of the treatment, cover with a shower cap and wrap your hair in a hot towel (fresh from the dryer) or apply heat with a hair dryer for a few minutes. Because the oil is very heavy, you will need to shampoo the oil out of your hair well after the treatment.

Coconut oil can be a god-send to those with severely damaged, over processed, and heat styled hair. It will be important to experiment with the amount of coconut oil to use, and how long to allow the oil to penetrate your hair in a way that will work for your specific hair type. If the coconut oil leaves your hair feeling weighed down or greasy, try using less or shampooing more effectively post treatment.

How to Use Coconut Oil as a Daily Hair Moisturizer/Detangler

You can use a very small amount of coconut oil on the ends of your hair after showering as a detangler and as a daily moisturizer for very dry hair. It works wonders on dry skin issues as well.

How to Use Coconut Oil as a Dandruff Treatment

To treat dandruff, massage a small amount of coconut oil into your scalp and allow it to sit for at least 10 minutes and up to overnight (you'll want to wear a shower cap to bed or wrap your head/pillow in a towel). Shampoo out. To remove excess dandruff skin from your scalp, use this epson salt treatment.

I hope this is a help to you and your family! Let me know how it works for you. I love testimonials!

Oh...one last thing with this article that I would like to share with you. There are not many oils that you can heat without destroying the molecular structure and one of them is coconut Oil! Enjoy your stir-fried veggies and dishes by the way! Get all the benefits from this amazing coconut blessing! smile emoticon
